Talent Development High Schools' curricula closes skill gaps and enables all students to achieve at high levels so they graduate ready for college and career. Our research-based acceleration courses enable students performing below grade level to succeed in college prep courses.

 

Freshman Seminar
First-semester course eases students into high school, gives them the skills to achieve and begins to prepare them for post-secondary education and careers with lessons in time management, study skills, goal-setting and social and human relation skills.

 

 


English Language Arts
Literacy initiative increases comprehension and fluency, fosters thinking and writing skills and develops appreciation for life-long learning.

 

 


Mathematics
Engaging curricula capture students’ interest and build their mathematical understanding and proficiency so they can advance in mathematics courses required for graduation. Career Academy Blended Mathematics lessons supplement Algebra I, II and Geometry with high-interest projects.

 

 


Professional Development
Organizational and instructional facilitators work with schools’ leadership teams and teachers to provide initial and continuing training and in-classroom support from peer coaches.
